At Wagner Encaustics, we are committed to creating local, hand made, one-of a kind encaustic paints of the highest quality. We value keeping with the ancient traditions of a painting medium so rich with history. To do this, we use highly refined, 100% pure filtered beeswax, natural dammar resin that flows from a variety of conifer trees, the finest quality pigments available and no extenders of any kind. While keeping with this tradition, we wove our own by offering reusable packaging in response to the needs of the environment. Our colors are densely pigmented yielding two to three uses when replenished with our Cairo Clear Encaustic Medium.

Our Colors

Each color and medium is neatly contained in a reusable tin can that can be placed directly on a hot plate. Our encaustic paints provide artists with rich, high quality color and convenient packaging. The ability to mix colors in the tin lids offers a wide range of secondary color possibilities.
